I think the old building and rooms in the farm house are beautifully done. The outside dining area in a nice location. Location outside the mail wall provides lovely views of the mountains which were nice to wake too and end the day with. It was easy to access sites inside and outside the walled city. I was upgraded to a bigger room and the single room was a bit small and in an area of the narrow courtyard so the rooms across the way where very close. Some rooms come with great views and others are a bit confining.
Easy to locate by car, considerate well trained staff, comfortable beds, Good food for carnivores, good value breakfast, excellent location just outside the walled city walls.
The room was a disabled friendly arrangement #105, and apart from twin beds had only a desk and seat as furniture. The hotel lacks a sitting room with comfortable chairs.
The staff (especially in the restaurant) was very nice, the rest was regular. Good, but nothing special. Low prices for the massages, but I didn't try them so I don't know if they're good or not.
The prices for food are pretty high, as in all of Avila.
Its location is ideal for city tours. Staff is friendly.
Very friendly and hlepful staff. Very clean! Nice, rustic decor.
It was hard to find.
An excellent hotel that has been designed with great features and comfortable rooms. Well recommended.
The modern room
Dinner was a bit expensive, no fridge or kettle in the room.
The room, the amenities, the decoration, the noise.... Room was not as advertised! All night long we could hear the toilet flushing in the bar above and loud did I mention loud? I was so excited about staying in this hotel but it lacked all of the uniqueness I was so looking forward to instead it was just bland and unpleasant. It was priced far higher than any other hotel we stayed in and wasn't even close to as nice as the others.
The room itself was pleasant. Everything was relatively new and in excellent condition.
We thought the hotel grounds were more generous. In fact, our hotel room looked directly at an apartment complex. The breakfast was very limited and most items were pre-packaged. The pool was not full during our stay in September although the weather was very warm.
Friendly staff and great location.
I didn´t like the noise which meant I couldn´t sleep.
Its position just outside Avila's wonderful city walls, and the view of the distant mountains. If you do not have one of the 3 front rooms with the view it would be very disappointing. The bathroom was very good.
The pre-booked breakfast was poor (though modestly priced) and could not be cancelled for the second morning as it had been pre-booked. The staff were very inflexible in this. If not pre-booking breakfast it was more expensive which would have also made it very poor value. If you didn't have a front room looking to the mountains none of the other rooms appeared to have any outlook. Although the bathroom was well appointed, the rest of the room was rather basic. The "garden" was a poor scrubby affair and not apparently used and there were no other public rest areas. The room safe was not attached to anything and was of little use.
We found the hotel to be clean and tidy. The hotel staff were very fiendly and gave us a map and information about Avila. We had a few drinks in the bar and got some nice tapas. We found the hotel well located next to the city walls- only a short walk from the attrations of the town and was very peaceful.
The rooms were modern and comfortable, and the staff very friendly.
A little expensive for the rooms, I have seen hotels in the area which are just as nice and cheaper.
